Sacrifice talk for the sake of breathing!

September 2006

Dear friends,

Those moments you offer yourself to see the silence within will certainly nourish you! Let witnessing silence be part of your daily meditation!

ABOUT TALKING for those of you who wish to settle your mind from unnecessary talking. When you get a pressure to talk, interrogate yourself with the following:

1. Why am I entering in this mood of talking?

2. What am I trying to do with the person in front of me?

3. Could I not stay as a listener?

4. What is the motive underlying this talk?

5. Am I trying to impress the other one?

6. If so for what?

7. Is it to get my knowledge acknowledged and my image boosted?

8. Do I get real happiness when my image gets boosted?

9. Do I sincerely feel that the words I say is of great value to the listener?

10. Do I ardently believe that by knowing this information the listener will certainly be benefited?

WITH THAT INTENTION! When you proceed with the conversation you have to see whether you are simply spending time with the listener or if something positive is happening to him. If nothing positive is happening question again:

11. Will I ever get back a lost moment? If not, am I not simply wasting my life in such unworthy conversation?

QUESTION AGAIN!

12. Why am I wasting my time and life?

If it is with the idea of image building, question again:

13. How am I related with my image?

14. Am I the image?

15. Is it something superimposed on me or is it the real me?

SO ASK AGAIN!

16. Whether these superimpositions are part of my dream or reality?

17. Can I survive without these superimposed images?

If your answer is yes, question further:

18. Why can’t I stop playing games with words? If your answer is "I can" - you are nearing to silence,

then sacrifice talk for the
sake of breathing!

I have commited myself to be available always for all of you and share whatever I have understood during the course of journey of my life, both in the Indian spiritual traditions and beyond, as a seeker if it is of help for you. What we need in this world is few individuals who could commit themselves to explore their own inner world! It is really difficult to find few of them. However I commit myself to be available always!
Love Santhi
